To prepare future members of society, who like shining stars, must champion the course of social development and growth by fostering academic excellence, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to serve humanity.
Owned and run by the Apostles of Jesus Missionaries (AJ), Star Secondary School provides an integrated education and holistic formation to youth for greater and more responsible service to their society and the world.
At Star Secondary School, we believe education is more than the acquisition of knowledge. It is the formation of young people who possess knowledge, skills, character, and a sense of responsibility.
Our community is guided by seven core values: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Excellence, Unity, Service, and Holistic Development.
Run by the Apostles of Jesus Missionaries, the school integrates religious and moral formation into its overall educational framework.
Through subjects like Bible Knowledge and ongoing spiritual guidance, students are nurtured to grow in faith, moral responsibility, and compassionate service to others.
The school’s primary purpose is expressed in a simple but powerful aspiration: education should help young people become good and responsible citizens.
We encourage students to demonstrate integrity, respect, discipline, and a spirit of service in their daily lives to make positive contributions to their communities and country.
Established in January 2007, Star Secondary School was founded by the Apostles of Jesus Missionaries (AJ)—who also own and run Uru Seminary in the Diocese of Moshi—to create educational opportunities for young people in the region.
Since its founding, the school’s growth and development journey reflect an ongoing commitment to expanding access to quality education. We continue to develop facilities and programs so that every student who aspires to learn can develop their full potential and contribute positively as responsible citizens.
Star Secondary School’s purpose is reflected in a simple but powerful principle: education should help young people become good and responsible citizens. This principle provides a foundation for our commitment to holistic learning, character formation, and service to society.
